Love Freehand, but Flash & Fireworks….

Flash: great for vector animations but not good with raster graphics which makes it difficult when doing games where you have to manipulate sprites dynamically. Fireworks: Great for graphics work very similar to photoshop with added features. However, in my opinion it is inferior to Photoshop when it comes to image manipulation.

Oldie but goodie!

I have been using Freehand for twenty years and it is amazing. Still runs on my Win 10 computer. Cannot do any 3D but for design work it is perfect. Archival uses only.

Freehand was amazing, but does anyone use it anymore?

This review is for Freehand only. It was discontinued around 2007, so I don’t know why anyone would buy a version from 2003 unless they’re recreating old files or software for compatibility.

Freehand is still one of my favourite vector software. I find it easy to use and quite intuitive. Flash is great too, though I prefer Adobe Animate CC now. Fireworks has many useful features and is an excellent tool for web graphics creation.
